General manager
Jean Verstraeten graduated as Computer Engineer from KU Leuven University (B) and immediately started the software company Quadrat with his partner Hugo Beeckman. By the mid-nineties, Quadrat had become European market leader in specialized IT solutions for Radiology departments. The customer base consisted of leading hospitals in Belgium, the Netherlands, UK, Norway and Italy. In 2000 the company was acquired by Agfa Healthcare and grew from 54 to over 100 people in two years, expanding its activities to the whole globe. Having left Agfa in 2002, he moved on to more critical fields in healthcare software. Today he leads Dotnext (www.dotnext.be), developping software for the Operating Theatre and the Cardiology department.
